Comment has been invited on the amended policy for the quality assurance of colleges for continuing education and training.

The Council for General and Further Education and Training Quality Assurance (Umalusi) has called for written submissions from stakeholder bodies and members of the public.

Civil Aviation Act regulations have been amended.

The Eighteenth Amendment of the Civil Aviation Regulations was published in Government Gazette 41379.

Proposed Regulations on Waste Streams Drawn Up

Proposed regulations on exclusion of a waste stream have been drafted.

The department of environmental affairs has published its intention to put in place regulations relating to the National Environmental Management: Waste Act.

Comment Sought on Fee Guideline for Credit Providers

Department of Trade and Industry

A fee guideline in terms of the National Credit Act has been published in Government Gazette 41377 for comment.

The guideline applies to all credit providers, credit bureaux and data providers.

Regulations on Financial Assistance for TRC Victims Amended

Department of Justice and Constitutional Development

Amounts flowing from regulations dealing with the provision of financial assistance in respect of basic education to victims identified by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission have been increased.

The regulations came into force in 2014.

Fishing Industry’s Main Collective Agreement Extended

Department of Labour

The Bargaining Council for the Fishing Industry’s Main Collective Amending Agreement has been extended to non-parties.

The extension was announced in terms of the Labour Relations Act.

Applications for MUX 3 Licences Invited

Independent Communications Authority

Applications for Multiplexer 3 (MUX 3) Radio Frequency Spectrum Licences are now open.

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa has invited applications for 45% of MUX 3 capacity for provision of commercial subscription television broadcasting services.
