Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services
The proposed qualifying criteria for support of poor households to own television set-top boxes has been published in the Government Gazette.
According to notice 938 in Gazette 38134 of 28 October 2014 the universal service and access agency (USAASA) is calling for public comment on the recommendations it plans to make to the minister of telecommunications and postal services. The observations must be in within 30 calendar days of the date of publication of the notice.

New compulsory specification tariffs have been published in Government Gazette 38089.
The new tariffs apply to the automotive; chemical, mechanical and materials; electro-technical as well as food and associated industries.
