Mr Richard Masenyani Baloyi

Minister of public service and administration since September 2008, Richard Masenyani Baloyi has been a member of parliament in the National Assembly since 1999, serving on a number of committees including the parliamentary portfolio committee on public service and administration. Active in student politics and the United Democratic Front (UDF) prior to the unbanning of the ANC, he has served as branch secretary for the ANC in Giyani and member of the ANC’s regional executive committee in what was then the northern Transvaal. Baloyi then served on the party’s Limpopo provincial executive. He holds a BA from the University of the North and has completed a senior leadership development programme at the University of Botswana.
