    PARTIAL COMMENCEMENT OF THE SECOND-HAND GOODS ACT, 2009 (ACT NO. 6 OF
2009)
    
    In terms of section 45 of the Second-Hand Goods Act, 2009, (Act No. 6
of 2009), I hereby fix 16 January 2012, as the date on which the maximum
period of imprisonment provided for in Schedule 3 to the Act, in respect of
sections 22(1) and 25(4) of the Act, shall come into operation.
    
    Given under my Hand and the Seal of the Republic of South Africa at
