The South African Council for the Architectural Profession
The professional architect registration fees and charges for the next financial year from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2015 have been updated in terms of the Architectural Professions Act (2000).
The South African Council for the Architectural Profession is the professional accrediting body in terms of the act as well as in terms of the National Qualifications Act (2008) and is empowered to set registration and other applicable fees.
Council for the Built Environment
Nominations for members of the Council for the Built Environment (CBE) are invited in terms of the Council for the Built Environment Act (2000).
The council coordinates six built environment councils including ones for architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, project and construction management, property valuation and quantity surveying.
Department of Higher Education and Training
Nominations have been invited for the appointment of the chairperson of the accounting authority for the Construction Sector Education and Training Authority (CETA).
The appointment for the term ending 31 March 2016 is made in terms of the Skills Development Act (1998).
