DTI Briefs Parliament on National Credit Amendment Bill

The trade and industry department has called for provisions in the Draft National Credit Amendment Bill to be aligned with Competition Act provisions in dealing with cartels.

The department revealed this during a briefing on the bill in parliament.

BBBEE Commission to Focus on State Procurement

State procurement will come under the spotlight at the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Commission’s annual conference in Midrand on 15 March 2018.

In a statement, the trade and industry department indicated that the conference will provide guidance on the requirements of the B-BBEE Act, development of internal procedures to support compliance, reporting requirements and ways to identify non-compliance and fronting practices.

DTI Gives Input on Draft National Credit Amendment Bill

The trade and industry department has called for a task team to be assembled to make technical inputs into the crafting of the Draft National Credit Amendment Bill.

The trade and industry committee published the draft committee bill for comment in November last year.
