A revised Licensing of Businesses Bill is being drawn up.

The trade and industry minister, Rob Davies, confirmed this in a written reply to a parliamentary question.

Bonus Medicine Under the Spotlight

The minister of health Aaron Motsoaledi is planning to tighten the regulations that prohibit the supply of medicine according to a bonus, rebate or any other incentive scheme.

According to a notice in the Government Gazette (37936 / 642 of 22 August 2014) the new regulations are being proposed in terms of section 35(1) of the Medicines and Related Substances Act (101 of 1965).

Changes Proposed to Petroleum Pipeline Licences Rules

National Energy Regulator

Applicants for petroleum pipeline licences would in future be able to request confidentiality in terms of information contained in the applications.

This proposal is contained in draft rules for the Petroleum Pipelines Act of 2003 published in Government Gazette 37972 for comment.
