National Credit Act Regulations Imminent

Draft regulations flowing from the National Credit Amendment Act have been developed and will be published before the end of July 2014.

The trade and industry department confirmed this during a briefing to the trade and industry committee on the work of the department’s Consumer and Corporate Regulation Division with particular focus on consumer protection.

The minister of health, Aaron Motsoaledi, has given notice that he plans to licence and control emergency medical services.

The draft regulations have been published in the Government Gazette (37869 / 585 of 24 July 2014) and interested parties have been invited to comment.
