Changes Introduced to Car Production Regulations

The requirement for production rebate credit certificates (PRCC) to indicate whether they are based on automotive components for medium and heavy motor vehicles has been removed from the regulations.

Amendments to the automotive production and development programme (APDP) regulations have been published in Government Gazette 37523.

Pork Industry Levy to Continue

Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

Statutory measures in the pork industry in terms of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act (1996) will continue for the next three years.

These measures apply to abattoirs and exporters of live pigs and relate to levies, registration, keeping of records and the rendering of returns.

Liquor Regulations on Trading Hours Suspended

Department of Trade and Industry

Trading hours for liquor distributors as outlined in regulations published in December 2013 have been suspended for nine months.

The amendments to the liquor regulations were published at the end of last year in Government Gazette 37091 and had come into effect on 3 December 2013.
