The Performers’ Protection Amendment Bill has been sent to the National House of Traditional Leaders (NHTL) for comment.

The bill was tabled in parliament in December 2016.

Competition Commission Draws Up Draft Guidelines on Fines

The economic development department has, in Government Gazette 40628, published draft guidelines for the determination of administrative penalties for failure to notify a merger and implementation of mergers contrary to the Competition Act.

The draft guidelines were drawn up by the Competition Commission.

Sunset Review of Duty on Indonesian Mirrors Underway

The International Trade Administration Commission (ITAC) has announced the initiation of the sunset review of the anti-dumping duty on unframed glass mirrors imported from Indonesia.

The announcement was made in Government Gazette 40621.
