Scrap Metal Policy in Effect

The policy limiting the export of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal is now in effect.

The economic development department published the policy directive in Government Gazette 36451.

StatsSA Issues Statement on 2013 Quarterly Labour Force Survey

Statistics South Africa (StatsSA) has published a statement on the Quarter 1 (January to March) Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS) which was released on 6 May 2013.

The QLFS is a household-based sample survey which was first conducted by StatsSA in January 2008 and is specifically designed to measure the dynamics of the South African labour market including employment indicators and the official unemployment rate.
