ICASA Re-Publishes MOA with Consumer Commission

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has published a second version of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) entered into between itself and the National Consumer Commission.

ICASA was set up in terms of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa Act while the Commission enforces and carries out the functions assigned to it in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.

Classic FM Seeks Amended Broadcasting Licence

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has given notice that it has received an application form from Classic FM for an amendment of its Individual Commercial Sound Broadcasting Service Licence.

In terms of the Electronic Communications Act, ICASA is required to give notice of the application in the Government Gazette and invite interested persons to submit written comments on the application.
