The 2013 draft revised policies for the allocation and management of fishing rights for eight fishing sectors have been published for public comment.

The eight fishing sector policies are for the following fishery sectors:

A biodiversity management plan for pelargonium sidoides in South Africa (2011-2020) has been published in terms of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act (2004).

The aim of the plan is to ensure the long-term survival of the plant in the wild and to ensure that the livelihoods of stakeholders are respected.

Two notices have been published regarding statutory measures for lucerne seed and hay in terms of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act (1996).

Notice 309 allows for the continuation of the statutory measure for records and returns by processors and persons dealing in lucerne seed and hay.
